Kiwicare Organic NO Caterpillars

Biogro certified Organic NO Caterpillars controls pest insect caterpillars and other leaf eating larvae on fruit, vegetables and ornamentals. It is safe to handle, does not affect the plants or beneficial insect species but is deadly to plant damaging caterpillars when used as directed. It will control all types of caterpillars including leafroller, looper and white butterfly as well as diamond back moth larvae, tomato fruitworm, cutworm, and fall webworm.

• Beneficial insects such as ladybirds and bees are not harmed by Organic NO Caterpillars.
• There is no withholding period when Organic NO Caterpillars is used.

Directions:

• Disperse 1 sachet (2.5g) per 2.5 - 5 litres of clean water and shake well.
• Apply to plants when caterpillars are young, before plant damage occurs.
• Shake sprayer regularly to prevent settling.
• Spray to the point of run off (ie. liquid begins to run off leaves).
• Thorough coverage is essential so spray undersides of leaves as well as top surfaces.
• Repeat spraying every 10-14 days.
• Do NOT use when rain is forecast within the next 8 hours.

Compatibility:

• Organic NO Caterpillars can be used with most commonly used insecticides and fungicides. However, do NOT use in conjunction with foliar nutrients, liquid fertilisers or Bordeaux mixture.
• If mixing with cupric hydroxide, use immediately and do not allow to stand.
• or protection of citrus use in conjunction with Kiwicare NO Insects Super Spraying Oil at the label rate.

How and where to use Organic NO Caterpillars:

About Btk - Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki:
Organic NO Caterpillars affects only the larval stage of susceptible insects; it cannot be used to kill eggs, pupae, or adults. To work, Btk must be eaten by the caterpillar (it will not harm caterpillars if it remains only on their skin). Once inside the caterpillar’s stomach the bacterium multiplies and releases substances toxic to the caterpillar. Specific enzymes in caterpillars’ stomachs are also required to activate the product. When the Btk is activated, the gut is paralyzed and the caterpillar stops feeding, dying within one to five days. Larvae are most susceptible to Btk when they are in the early developmental stages.

One of Btk's most desirable characteristics is its selectivity; only certain insects are susceptible to the toxins. Beneficial insects such as ladybirds and bees are not harmed.

Kiwicare NO Rats and Mice Weatherproof Bait Blocks

This is a great rodenticide (rat poison) product for any area of the home, farm or industry as the blocks are resistant to damp. The blocks can be used outdoors to control rats and mice before they have a chance of moving inside. The blocks can be thrown into inaccessible areas such as roof spaces, under sheds and floors. The Bait Blocks can be broken up into smaller pieces if required.

Directions:
Place the Bait Blocks wherever rodent activity has been observed by sightings, droppings or sounds of rodents. They are suitable for both indoors or outdoors.

Rodents, both rats and mice, are very 'shy' and prefer to eat in secluded areas. Place bait in secluded areas such as roof voids or ceiling spaces. When used outdoors place the bait inside a bait station or length of pipe such as downpipe. Rodents like to be in enclosed spaces and will feel more comfortable, spend more time and eat more bait. It will also protect the bait and prevent non-target animals accessing the bait. Check bait regularly and continue to top up until no further bait is being taken. Bait can be kept in place to control rodents moving into the area.

The baits are reasonably slow in action (4-5 days) and this prevents bait shyness developing. Coumatetralyl, the active ingredient is less persistent in the bodies of rodents and the environment, so it poses less risk to scavenging animals and pets.

Active Ingredient:
0.5g/Kg Coumatetralyl. Coumatetrayl is a 1st generation anti-coagulant toxin and has a slow cumulative action. Small quantities need to be consumed on several consecutive days before symptoms of poisoning appear, so no bait shyness develops.

Kiwicare NO Bugs Bug Bomb

Use this product for a quick knockdown of insects such as, adult Borer beetles, Silverfish, Weevils, Moths, Fleas, Flies (including cluster flies in roof voids), present in the room at the time of release.

Directions:

• Close all exterior doors and windows.
• Remove outer cap.
• Depress white actuator until it clicks into position.
• Leave the room and house for at least 3 hours and ventilate for 30 minutes before moving back into house.
• Once doors and windows are opened again, any insects entering the room will not be affected.

Coverage:
Each bug bomb will be effective in a room size up to 150 cubic metres.

• Work out how many Bug Bomb cans are required as follows.
• Multiply floor area of each room e.g. 3m x 6m = 18m2
• Multiply floor area by height of room 18 x 2.6 = 46.8 cubic M
• Do the above calculations for each room
• Add up each room and total, divide total by 150 to show how many NO Bugs Bug Bombs are needed for the whole area to be treated
• Note: It is important to seal your house as well as possible. If there are gaps or ventilation that cannot be sealed increase the number of bombs to compensate for loss of fumigant.

TIPS:
**Stud height of average houses**

• New house generally 2.6m high
• Older house generally 3.3m high
• If you are not certain of the height it is best to measure.

**Under House – floor cavity**

• Floor space under the house is generally 0.5m
• Do same calculation as above for the rooms using 0.5 as the height
• Generally only 1 Bug Bomb is needed under the floor

**Ceiling Space**

• Use same calculation using average height of ceiling space.

Kiwicare NO Fleas Total Concentrate

Summary:
NO Fleas Total is the complete solution for Flea control. This product breaks the Flea breeding cycle by killing adult fleas, flea eggs and flea larvae. The product also contains a growth regulator so that female fleas only lay sterile eggs and immature fleas will not reach sexual maturity. NO Fleas Total provides indoor control of fleas for up to 4 months. Dilute with water to make a cost effective, easy to use spray.

Directions:
Spray pet bedding areas and places where fleas have been detected with NO Fleas Total.

In summer months when fleas are most active they can also live outside where pets rest. Spray these exterior areas also. If your pets are transported in vehicles regularly it is good practise to treat the interior of the vehicle.

Vacuum? Vacuuming before treatment is advised by some pest control experts as it will 'activate' pupae so that the adults can be treated. However, the adults first action will be to try and find a food source; blood to feed on. The food source is likely to be you. To prevent bites we recommend leaving the vacuuming stage until 5-7 days after treatment.

Vacuum all infested areas thoroughly. The vibration encourages adults to emerge from pupae where they would remain protected and removes many of the larvae, eggs and the dust and detritus that larvae feed on. Be sure to dispose of the vacuum bag immediately by placing in a plastic bag and placing in the garbage bin. Repeat vacuuming 2 days following any further treatment with NO Fleas Total.

Note: Flea infestations can be hard to eradicate, especially if the fleas have had time to build up numbers i.e. during holiday periods. To help prevent re-infestation treat affected pets with a registered veterinary medicine as per the label directions and treat all pet bedding with NO Fleas Total.

Dilute with water – 25ml NO Fleas Total to 1 Litre water.

Application:
Apply diluted product as a coarse spray to skirting boards, floors and carpets, furnishings, pet bedding and adjacent wall areas, or any other area where fleas are observed. Repeat after 7 days if required.

Do not allow the spray to contact food, food areas or food utensils. Remove or cover all foodstuffs before application.

When used as directed NO Fleas Total poses no danger to humans or pets, and once dry does not stain or smell.

Bed Bugs: NO Fleas Total is effective against bed bugs. It is best used in conjunction with NO Bugs Borafume or NO Bugs Bug Bomb.
